“It’s definitely the highlight of the school year!” told me an excited mother before this year’s show by the Michelbeuern Fashion School at the MQ VIENNA FASHION WEEK 23. In her hands, she held her smartphone ready at all times to capture her daughter’s walk down the runway. The fashion students of Michelbeuern Fashion School are not only aspiring tailors and designers but also showcased their artworks themselves on the evening of September 15, 2023, and did so exceptionally professionally.
At the entrance of the MQ VIENNA FASHION WEEK, a cheerful crowd of students, parents, relatives, and teachers had already gathered half an hour before the show began. The lively party atmosphere turned into joyful anticipation as it finally started, and the young people presented their hard work of the past months with pride and enthusiasm.
The collection “Archiv” met expectations: Old cuts were combined with new fabrics, patterns, and colors. Classic pieces were adorned with casual accessories like chains and futuristic details. Amidst elegant and extravagant suits, dresses, and costumes in white, black, and silver, bright colors like orange repeatedly peeked through, creating a successful connection to the favorite footwear of the younger generation: sneakers. Simply cool!
