“Retailored” is how Vienna based designer Linda Sekoll named her collection, which she created specifically for the 23rd MQ VIENNA FASHION WEEK. Linda Sekoll, known for her innovative creations from second-hand pieces, was selected by a jury from the Wirtschaftsagentur Wien to present her unique designs to the public.
Timeless, stylish, and stunningly elegant would be words to describe the combinations of patterns, shapes, and colors. These were presented to us by beautiful people in classic looks on the runway of MQVFW.23. At the same time, Linda Sekoll managed to bring a bold refinement to every outfit with her innovative cuts and exciting combinations.
From former men’s suits in British and American styles, only the impressive quality of the fabrics and the durability of the colors remained.
Linda Sekoll’s motto, “Less is more,” was reflected in the absence of decorative attributes and accessories, allowing a focus on pure fashion enjoyment. The gender of the models didn’t matter, and “crossdressing” was deliberately showcased to the enthusiastic audience.
Apart from her roles as a stylist, tailor, and designer, Linda Sekoll takes on the fast fashion industry with her resource-efficient methods and workshops. Upcycling sessions for your own wardrobe or a private styling session can be booked directly with her.
The overall masterpiece of unique design, clean cuts, and the touch of elegance from a man’s wardrobe with history presented at MQVFW.23 made it clear:
Buying new is out, Sekoll is in.
