Bei America’s Next Top Model war Tolentino zu sehen, als er die “Walk off”-Laufstegkollektion USA gegen Großbritannien für den Auftakt des Zyklus 18 entwarf, und seine Kleider waren im Fotoshooting für Pink’s Hotdog im Zyklus 17 zu sehen.

Auf der internationalen Bühne war Tolentino einer der Eröffnungsdesigner der 1st Thai Silk International Fashion Week in Bangkok.  Er hat auf den Modewochen in Bali, auf den Bahamas und Barbados sowie auf EcoChic/ReDress-Veranstaltungen in Hongkong ausgestellt.  Außerdem wurden seine Kleider im Palais des Nations der Vereinten Nationen in Genf, Schweiz, und  in Israel präsentiert.

Auf nationaler Ebene wurden Tolentinos Kollektionen auf der Eco Fashion Week der NY Fashion Week, der Los Angeles Fashion Week, der United Colors of Fashion in NY, der Downtown L.A. Fashion Week, der San Diego’s Women’s Week, der Gorgeous & Green’s Charity Gala und der P.I.A.’s Charity Gala, beide in San Francisco, präsentiert.  Im November 2022 war er zusammen mit Ungaro eingeladener Designer bei der ersten Kornit Fashion Week LA.  Außerdem wurde er auf der renommierten Modewoche El Paseo in Palm Springs zum jährlichen “Designer der Woche” gekürt.

Tolentino begann seine Karriere in Manila und erlangte durch harte Arbeit und Entschlossenheit in seinem Heimatland Philippinen große Bekanntheit.  Im Jahr 2009 expandierte er als erster Couture-Designer in die Vereinigten Staaten und eröffnete schließlich ein Geschäft in Beverly Hills.  Die Couture-Fähigkeiten des Designers wurden sofort bemerkt, und er wurde als Finalist bei der OSCARS® Designer Challenge 2010 geehrt.  Auch der philippinische Fernsehsender ABS-CBN ehrte ihn im Rahmen seiner größten Fernsehgala als Samsung MetroWear Icon.

Tolentino zeichnet sich durch alle Stoffe aus, spezialisiert sich jedoch häufig auf umweltfreundliche Stoffe, was ihm 2011 den Titel “Featured Designer” des ökologisch-ethischen Unternehmens Rags2Riches einbrachte, den ersten “Featured Eco Designer” bei der Global Green’s 2012 Pre-Oscars Party und den Gewinner des Sustainable Eco Fashion Award 2010 auf den Bahamas.  Durch die Verwendung von einheimischen Stoffen wie Piña (Stoff, der aus Ananasblättern gewonnen wird) ist Tolentino zu einem Förderer der Weber und Stickerinnen seines Heimatlandes auf der internationalen Bühne geworden.

America’s Next Top Model featured Tolentino when he created the USA vs. U.K. “walk off” runway collection for the Cycle 18 season opener, and his dresses were featured in the Pink’s Hotdog photo shoot for Cycle 17.

On the international stage, Tolentino was an inaugural designer at the 1^st Thai Silk International Fashion Week in Bangkok.  He’s shown at fashion weeks in Bali, the Bahamas, and Barbados, and at EcoChic/ReDress events in Hong Kong.  Additionally, his clothes have been presented at the United Nations’ Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, and the Holy Land in Israel.

Nationally, Tolentino’s collections have been featured in Eco Fashion Week at NY Fashion Week, Los Angeles Fashion Week, United Colors of Fashion in NY, Downtown L.A. Fashion Week, San Diego’s Women’s Week, Gorgeous & Green’s charity gala and P.I.A.’s charity gala, both in San Francisco.  In November 2022 he was an invited designer, along with Ungaro, who showed at the inaugural Kornit Fashion Week LA.  Additionally, Palm Springs’ prestigious Fashion Week El Paseo previously honored him as its annual “Designer of the Week.”

Tolentino started his career in Manila and rose to prominence in his native Philippines through hard work and determination.  In 2009, he became the first couture designer to expand to the United States and ultimately set up shop in Beverly Hills.  The designer’s couture skills were immediately noticed and he was honored as a finalist in the 2010 OSCARS® Designer Challenge.  Philippines TV network ABS-CBN also honored him as its Samsung MetroWear Icon in its largest televised gala.

Tolentino excels in all fabrics but often specializes in eco-friendly ones, earning him the title of 2011 Featured Designer of eco-ethical endeavor Rags2Riches, first ever Featured Eco Designer at Global Green’s 2012 Pre-Oscars Party, and the 2010 Sustainable Eco Fashion Award winner in the Bahamas.  Through incorporation of native fabrics such as piña (fabric derived from pineapple leaves), Tolentino has become a promoter of his native country’s weavers and embroiderers on the international stage.
